The year is settling in with plenty on the agenda for members to consider, with Area 19 Dressage and Indoor Novice SJ Qualifers under our belts, the Summer qualifiers will soon be upon us - SJ, Dressage, Hunter Trials and ODE.

The annual Spring Supper held on 23rd March 12 at the California Inn, California Cross, Nr. Modbury, was a lovely evening with great food. Thanks to Penny for organising and to Jonathon and his team for slick service and keeping a good sense of humour during a few stressful moments!  We look forward to next years Supper.  Here is a sample of the selection some of us enjoyed this time: See the menu to make your choices.

Liz is full steam ahead with the booking for our 3rd SBRC Charity Fundraising Ball.  This year it is being held on 21st September 2012, once again at The Elfordleigh Hotel at Plympton.  For further info contact Liz Lavers. See Diary for info.

This year the 2nd SBRC Summer Ball was held raising money to support The Injured Jockeys Fund.  Over 80 guests attended and joined in the spirit of the occasion with plenty of dancing and fun with the photographer who offered a selection of dress props.  Much merriment ensued!! 

Liz Lavers proudly presented the cheque to Patron A.P. McCoy at Exeter Racecourse on behalf of the club.

The South Brent Riding Club was started in 1985 by a small group of equestrian enthusiasts who wished to share their enjoyment of riding and competing in a supportive environment. 

It is thanks to the enthusiasm, commitment, loyalty and continued support from it's members, instructors, and advocates over these past 25 years, which has made the club so appealing to riders of all ages and abilities. 

A strong belief in ensuring that all aspects of equestrianism is offered to it's membership, makes the South Brent Riding Club such a popular choice with riders across the South Devon area.

With affiliation membership to British Riding Clubs, South Brent Riding Club members enjoy a number of benefits and discounts from organisations such as The British Horse Society, SEIB Insurance Brokers, ......

2010 was a busy and successful year for the club.  

Celebrating 25 years as an affiliated riding club in south devon, the club held it's first ever summer ball. With close to 100 guests, this proved to be a huge success, with many requests to make this a yearly opportunity for members and friends to dress up and celebrate together whilst raising money for a chosen charity.  A number of shows, demo days, clinics, dressage events have also been held this year, and teams sent to represent the club at Area 19 indoor novice showjumping, dressage and endurance GB qualifiers.
